Art Edwards has been working to build a homeless shelter in El Dorado County for almost ten years. Although he has not given up, he is now in the process of writing a book about his experiences titled, The Journey To Hangtown Haven.

It will describe the successes and failures, the politics, designs and the pressure put on by people filled with hate toward the homeless. Using his experience and engineering background, the book will describe how to work with the community to build consensus and to get county and engineering approval for success. It will be the latest word filled with history and drama, a tale that pulls no punches, a story of our times.
